QUEEN-BEE PANTRY
Queen-Bee Pantry was founded in March of 2024 and as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) in May of 2024 to address the urgent and growing issue of food insecurity among underserved and marginalized populations in the Whidbey Island, Washington area. In early 2024, the pantry’s founders recognized a critical gap in local support systems—particularly for LGBTQ+IA individuals, low-income families, seniors, single parents, veterans and people living in rural or isolated communities—who often face barriers to accessing basic necessities without fear of judgment or discrimination.
The pantry emerged as a direct response to these intersecting challenges. Many community members were struggling to find consistent, safe, and affirming sources of food and hygiene products. Existing resources in the area were limited, overburdened, or not culturally competent enough to meet the needs of LGBTQ+IA. At the same time, economic instability, housing insecurity, and rising living costs were compounding food access issues for people of all backgrounds. Queen-Bee Pantry has bilingual Spanish/English speaking staff.

Why Donate to Queen-Bee Pantry
How you can show your Support to Queen-Bee Pantry
Queen-Bee Pantry is more than a source of groceries—it’s a pillar of stability for families, seniors, and individuals who are facing financial hardship. Every month, hundreds of our neighbors rely on the pantry to put healthy meals on their tables. With the rising cost of living, the need is growing, and consistent community support has never been more important.
How Monthly Support Makes a Difference
To meet the demand, Queen-Bee Pantry requires steady monthly contributions to keep shelves stocked and doors open. Each month, the pantry works to secure:
Fresh produce and proteins to ensure families receive balanced, nutritious meals
Shelf-stable staples like rice, pasta, canned goods, and formula
Hygiene and household essentials that many families cannot afford
Operational support such as refrigeration, storage, and community outreach
Even small monthly donations add up to sustained impact. For example:
$10/month helps provide fresh produce for multiple families
$25/month stocks core pantry staples for those in crisis
$50/month supports expanded access for seniors and larger households
$100/month helps cover ongoing operational needs that keep the pantry functioning efficiently
Why Your Support Matters
When you donate to Queen-Bee Pantry, you’re doing more than giving food—you’re giving hope, stability, and dignity. You’re ensuring that a parent doesn’t have to skip meals so their children can eat. You’re providing comfort to seniors on fixed incomes. You’re showing your neighbors that they are seen, valued, and supported.
Queen-Bee Pantry thrives because of compassionate people who choose to make a difference. Together, we can make sure no one in our community faces hunger alone.
Your monthly support keeps the heart of our community beating strong. Thank you for giving.
Call for Help from Queen-Bee Pantry
With grateful hearts and hopeful spirits, we’re reaching out to our community today with an important need.
Queen-Bee Pantry has been blessed with an opportunity we’ve prayed for—a new storefront that will allow us to serve more families, offer a stable location, and continue providing food and support with dignity and care. This space represents growth, consistency, and hope for the neighbors who rely on us.
To make this next step possible, we need help covering the initial deposit and the first couple of months’ rent. These upfront costs are the final barrier between us and opening our doors to the community in a bigger, more impactful way.
We are also seeking monthly donors who can help sustain Queen-Bee Pantry moving forward. Even small, consistent donations make a powerful difference—they help keep shelves stocked, lights on, and doors open for those in need.
Every dollar, every share, and every prayer helps. Your support is not just helping us secure a building; it’s helping families access food, stability, and compassion when they need it most.
Thank you for believing in Queen-Bee Pantry and for standing with us as we take this meaningful step forward. Together, we can make this new storefront a place of nourishment, hope, and community.
With deep gratitude,
Queen-Bee Pantry 🐝💛
